Whether you have followed me for a while or you are new to me, online I post a lot of silly memes and try to keep people smiling. That may seem kinda weird because most of the time I write some dark and twisted romances. I cover some topics that can make people uncomfortable. I made a choice that I wanted to write stories that showed that even though life can be ugly we all have good and bad in us. That people are capable of change and that our struggles shape us and hopefully along the way we all can find our happy ending.
That said the book community has always been so accepting and supportive. Readers, Authors, and Bloggers all have given so much to me that I try to find ways to give back through my work and that is why I do my best to contribute to at least one charity anthology a year depending on how my schedule lines up. I also donate to a lot of auctions to help raise money for book friends in need. But the purpose of this post is to highlight Charity Anthologies and why they are important not only to me but our community that we love so much.
In an ideal world everyone would have the resources and funding needed to navigate the trials and tribulations we face. Whether it be through health complications, natural disasters, or loss of a loved one. Whatever the reason the book community has always come together to do our part to take care of each other the best we can. Over the years of my publishing journey and career I have been so honored to have the opportunity to work with some amazing authors to raise money for various causes. They say it takes a village and it’s true.
Through the connections I’ve made in the industry I’ve contributed stories to anthologies that have raised don’t quote me but I think around twenty thousand dollars. I wanted to have an exact amount to share with you but some happened years ago and I’m not able to find all that information to be exact at this time. I do have a list for you of all the anthologies I’ve contributed to and the charities your purchases of these amazing collections have supported as well as those to come and some available now in need of your support.

I am currently working on a new MC short/introduction to my Kings of Anarchy MC for the Dissent Anthology (coming in September) and my story Ruthless Love will be releasing in the Bluebonnet Anthology this month.
I haven't been doing much reading the past few weeks but I did binge Stranger Things with my kiddos on my birthday and it was fantastic.
Anyway, happy reading and support some great causes in the process.
